Lets talk about somebody
Lets talk about somebody
Why not. You think that you know the person who you are degrading because of why? You just know the person who you are degrading is guilty of false teaching in the church or some sin that they should be cast out of the church. After all, you might have heard a 15 second sound bite on the TV set or might have jumped to a conclusion when you overheard possibly in a group that something negative was said that has taken place. In fact, you can recite word for word that this person has sin using the deceit of false Biblical Scripture or give in detail the sin that they were in or used quotes from the Bible. "Not the King James Version" that is. Your opinions of the subject at hand are of self righteous, egotistical, degrading, bogus, pious and poisonous gossiper. Yet you allow your tail to wag your body in your hypocritical vocal onslaught of berating the person. It would be different if you had a personal knowledge of who this person is or what they have had to go through just to present the scripture as the Lord directs them. But you the almighty one who has the mind of God says that this person didn't say it this way or that, they move too much. It sure sounds like they do all the things you would never do. Sound like a lot of judgment.
We see a lot of church splits because of people having an opinion that is different. They cause discord instead of promoting in “one accord” by running the preacher, or someone in the congregation down.
Admit it, they are not you and that in your view is why they need to be ousted. Sin is sin and Christ died for “who-so-ever”. Whether the person is a well-known individual or a member of a local congregation, NO ONE is exempt from falling into sin and what some will gossip about and be run down. So instead of talk, talk, talk, or gossip, they should be prayer, prayer, and more prayer. Christian more often than we would like to admit attack those in unrighteousness more than lifting up those in encouragement and Prayer. Gossip does not build or edify the Body of Christ.
How one person
can change your life.
Have you made a difference in someone life?
Over the years God has placed many people in my life that has shaped me into what I am today. With all my faults and mistakes that I have made, should some of these God sent people refused to be used, my life would be a complete and total wreck. Some years ago I meet a man named Bob Primm when I lived in Jasper Alabama who became my best friend. He was used at a time when I felt all was lost. I never had a best friend but when God made Bob, He broke the mold. I never had a best friend but at the age of 51, Bob became a God sent. I could tell you many events and wonderful fellowship but one thing God revealed to me was people were saying to Bob, “Why are you trying to help him, he won’t ever change. He’s a deadbeat. You need to cut him away from your life before he uses you to your detriment”. But just like God, Bob did not give up on me. Not saying everyone isn’t out to get what they can from society, but when God put someone in your life, there is a reason. They could be a diamond in the rough and you’re the tool that God uses to shape that person to a 24-carat diamond. For information about a 24-carat diamond is worth 1.8 Million.
I could go on about Bob, and I will as many others in another post, but the 1st person who God used in such an awesome and dynamic way was a person by the name of Mike Nesmith in Birmingham Alabama. Mike was a person who had God in his life so much that in his twisted body due to him having Cerebral Palsy (Cerebral palsy is a disorder of movement, muscle tone or posture that is caused by damage that occurs to the immature, developing brain, most often before birth.) you saw Jesus. He would cut people lawns ever summer. You could see him pushing his push lawn mower up & down the street to make money, and every September, he would donate what he had made during the hot summer to the Cerebral Palsy Telethon. I got save in the summer of 1973 and the church was going to have a revival in the fall. I had fallen in Love with the word of God and was growing in Christ. I had learned to pray and in some respect could pray the house down. I got to the point of “Listen to me pray” One the Sunday morning of Revival, we the men of the church had breakfast and afterward went down to the sanctuary to have prayer. The Pastor 1st started, the Evangelist 2nd, the Music & Youth Director next, followed by the Music Evangelist and then the Chairmen of the Deacons, and then there was silence. I thought “well it’s about time to pull out one of my awesome prayers” when the Lord spoke to my mind, “SHUT UP, I WANT YOU TO HEAR THIS”. Mike started his small but powerful prayer that I still today remember word for word. “Lord I don’t know why you have me in this body, but if it brings you glory I’ll stay in it”. God used that prayer to break me of myself centered pride.
